Procurement Manager - Modules (m/f/d)

Overview

As Procurement Manager for Modules, you will play a key role in shaping our supply chain and product cost structure. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing international suppliers, and driving cost, quality, and innovation across complex modules and assemblies. Working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams, you will actively contribute to the competitiveness and long-term success of our products.

Your mission

  • Strategic sourcing and procurement of modules and assemblies across the entire product lifecycle
  • Development and implementation of commodity, module, and sourcing strategies
  • Selection, evaluation, and development of national and international suppliers
  • Preparation and execution of contract, price, and commercial negotiations
  • Conducting cost analyses (TCO, should-costing, benchmarking)
  • Close collaboration with R&D, Quality, Production, and Logistics departments
  • Supplier management with focus on quality, cost, delivery, and innovation
  • Participation in cross-functional and cross-departmental projects (e.g. new product development, make-or-buy decisions)
  • Identification and realization of cost-saving, standardization, and optimization potentials
  • Continuous market and technology analysis to identify risks and opportunities at an early stage
  • Prepare reports on purchases made and perform cost analyses

Your profile

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in module or assembly sourcing
  • Strong technical understanding of modules, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic, analytical, and structured way of working
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional teamwork
  • Confident user of ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and MS Office
  • Very good command of English; German and Chinese language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
